A short note for visiting boaters about how things work in the arm.
We are always pleased to see visiting crews, and overnight moorings are frequently available — but they do need to be booked in advance through the Harbourmaster on 07716 960049.
The water in the arm is private and is not controlled by the Canal & River Trust. Winding is restricted to members and booked, approved visitor boats. This is not us being difficult: we have had recurrent damage to boats moored in the arm, and silting is a constant battle.
Water is available to any boater for a minimum payment of £2, provided a member is on site to help. As a volunteer-run club, what we can offer on any given day depends on who is about — so please do ring ahead if you are relying on a particular service.
Full details of everything on site are on our facilities page.
