Membership

Associate membership gives you the bar, the social calendar, cheaper moorings and priority booking of club facilities.

Are you keen on boating, or simply taken with the idea of belonging to a friendly social club by the water? Associate Membership, through Stafford BC Trading, is the way in.

Why join as an Associate Member?

As an Associate Member you will be welcomed into the club and can enjoy:

  • Social events — come along to all our social functions through the year
  • Club facilities — use the bar and other facilities whenever the club is open
  • Volunteering — lend your time and skills to help keep the club going

If you own a boat

  • Reduced-rate visitor moorings — save money when you stay with us
  • Priority booking of club facilities, so you can plan ahead
  • Water and fuel — water is free for Associate boaters, and fuel may be purchased
  • AWCC membership — join the Association of Waterways Cruising Clubs as part of your Associate Membership

Associate Members who own boats can also apply to become permanent moorers at the club, subject to availability. Mooring requires membership of either Stafford BC Trading or Stafford Boat Club — so you really are part of the community.

A club for active boaters

Stafford Boat Club is more than somewhere to tie up. We are a Community Amateur Sports Club, which means our focus is on encouraging people to get out and actually use their boats.

Membership is open to all regardless of sex, age, disability, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, religion or other beliefs, except where the practical requirements of boating make that impossible.

Full club membership

To join Stafford Boat Club itself, pop in and meet some of the members. You will need to fill in a form with your details and be proposed and seconded by two members. Once accepted there is a one-off entrance fee, and then an annual subscription.
